Sun Came Out for a Successful Fun Day at Penarth Rugby Club
Penarth Rugby Club hosted a fantastic family fun day on Saturday in glorious sunshine.
There was a host of activities ranging from face painters to funfair rides.
The final event of the day was Penarth’s SWALEC League Division 3 SE game against Nantymoel which resulted in a win for Penarth.
Honorary Secretary of the club, Sara Siddall was thrilled with the turnout on the day. She said: “The aim of the event was to provide a fun filled day for families and to showcase our Athletic Club and its facilities. Thanks to all who generously donated money to the club by having their faces painted, having temporary tattoos and buying raffle tickets. Prizes were kindly donated by members of the club and also local businesses. I would particularly like to thank Stems of Penarth, a new florist that opens this week on Glebe Street, who donated a voucher.
Special thanks must go to Hayley Clare and Nicola Morgan for all their hard work organising the day and showing everyone that we’re not just a rugby club but a real community asset. We would encourage people from the local area to join us and take advantage of our great clubhouse and facilities.”
